System components
The valve kit
The valve kit is fitted to the hot water circuit, and is instal-
led to premix the water before it reaches the tap point. This
means you avoid burns and the temperature can be easily
adjusted. If it is not installed, mixers at tap points will deterio-
rate and break.

Normally copper piping is used for connection of the system.
Connection between accumulators must be a minimum of
1"/1-1/4", If the pipe length is more than 20 feet to the first

Accumulator tank
The Effecta Smart must be used along with heat storage. For
the Smart 40 the minimum amount of storage is 400 gallons,
and for the Smart 55 the minimum is 800 gallons.
Draft stabiliser
We recommend that you always install a draft stabiliser in
your chimney. The stabiliser will give the boiler a more even
draught and will improve function. In addition, Effecta Lambda
II closes its air damper after firing is complete, which pre-
vents downdrafts through the boiler. This can sometimes lead
to a high back pressure during new firing, since the chimney
is cold. This is prevented with a draft stabiliser.
