Draft stabiliser

A draft stabiliser for chimneys is designed
to ensure proper draught and to reduce
the risk of condensation. Tigex 50 has
a design that makes it tight against flue
gas leakage at excess pressure, which
usually occurs in connection with the
boiler start up phase. Fit the Tigex 50
with the door axis in a horizontal position,
and the housing in the vertical position
(Fig. 1). Make sure the door can move freely to the fully open position
and the door does not jam. The door must not touch the flue connection flow, i.e. the door
must not open into the chimney. Adjustment of the low pressure (Fig. 2) when the door opens is
done by loosening the lock screw in the counterweight. Move the counterweight to the desired
distance with the corresponding Pa according to the table. Tighten the lock screw in the counter-
weight and check the distance again. These are approximate values and should be checked with
a draught / low pressure gauge if a precise tuning of the low pressure is required. On delivery,
the door is set to approx. 15 Pa.
Pellet burning

When firing with wood pellets the effect on the
pellet burner is not allowed to exceed half the
effect of the boiler output on wood logs.
Sensors
The sensors to control stop and start of the burner needs to be placed in sensor pockets in
the accumulator tank. Sensor G5 is mounted in (pos 14.). Sensor G6 is mounted in (pos.8) on
the accumulator tank showing on (pg.38). More about the function for the sensors can be found
in manual for the burner.
The menus
In Effecta Smart there is a menu selection for use of pellets(pg.22) YES/NO, before the burner
starts choose YES. In the menu you need to set the temperatures for the burner to start and
stop. This values you find in the manual for the burner. Make sure that you also follow all the
other settings in the manual for the burner.
Switching to pellet burning
When you switch from wood to pellets, clean the loading compartment from ash so that the
column in the ceramics is open. If it is clogged up, the burner will stop at the feeder tubes
thermal protection, and there is also a risk of smoke emission in the boiler room. Check also
that the flue gases are not too low. Since the pellet burner emits a lower output compared to
the wood boiler, flue gas levels will be lower. Beware of condensation in the chimney. If flue gas
levels are so low that condensation is formed, you can remove one or more turbulators in order
to increase the flue gas temperature.

TIGEX 50 - Dragbegränsare
Installation
Dragbegränsare för skorstenar är avsedda för att säkerställa ett konstant drag och minska risken för kondens. Att
avsedd effekt uppnås bör kontrolleras av ansvarig installatör eller fastighetsägare.
Tigex 50 har en nyutvecklad konstruktion som gör den tät mot rökgasläckage vid övertryck, vilket oftast uppstår i
samband med brännarens startögonblick. Tigex 50 monteras med hjälp av olika adaptrar. Lösningar finns för runda
rökrör Ø 130, 150 och 180 mm, för befintliga sotluckor och för montering på sidan av rökrör. Vid installation där
adaptern ska vara demonterbar, t.ex. befintlig sotlucka, används en eldfast packning. Vid permanent installation tätas
adaptern mot rökröret med pannkitt.
Montering
Tigex 50 ska monteras med luckans axel i vågrät position, resp. huset i lodrät position (Fig 1). Kontrollera att luckan
löper fritt till fullt öppet läge samt att luckan inte kärvar. Luckan får inte heller beröra rökgasflödet, dvs. luckan får inte
öppna sig in i rökröret.

Justering av undertrycket då luckan öppnar görs genom att lossa låsskruven i motvikten, flytta motvikten till önskat
avstånd med motsvarande Pa i tabell. Dra fast låsskruven i motvikten och kontrollera avståndet igen. Detta är
ungefärliga värden och ska kontrolleras med en drag-/ undertrycksmätare ifall en exakt inställning av undertrycket
erfordras. Luckan är vid leverans inställd på ca. 15 Pa.
Funktion
Tigex 50 öppnar olika mycket beroende på inställning och draget i skorstenen. Draget varierar mycket beroende
på skorstenens utformning, vädret och om brännaren går eller inte. Dragförhållandena varierar kraftigt mellan olika
anläggningar, varför erforderligt undertryck och ventilationsbehov måste avgöras från fall till fall.
Viktigt!
Innan anläggningen tas i bruk måste den uppfylla kraven från såväl lagar och förordningar som lokala
bestämmelser.
