4.3
Standard configuration of probes
The standard configuration of KESSEL lifting stations is a
pressure sensor (immersion pipe or submersible pressure
switch). An optical sensor for use as an alarm probe is either
enclosed or can be mounted on the already preassembled
connection.
Pressure sensor
If a pressure sensor is to be used for level detection, it has
to be connected as follows.
With the help of a spiral cable puller, feed the pressure
hose through the cable conduit; to do so, fix the end of
the hose with the sealing cap on the spiral cable puller.
Cut off the end of the pressure hose with sealing cap to fit
precisely.
Push in the blue release ring and keep it pressed.
not available push the pressure hose onto the connection
nipple of the pressure pipe connection.
Push the end of the pressure hose into the connector
until it stops.
If not available, tighten the clamping nut.
Let go of the release ring.
The pressure hose is connected airtight.
Pull on the pressure hose lightly to check whether the
connection is secure.
Lay pressure hose continuously rising.
In case of lengths of more than 10 m or reverse gradient
of the pressure hose, use the compressor set for air bub-
bling (art. no. 28048).
Optical probe
Lay probe cable to the alarm probe.
Pull off protective cap.
Check whether a spacer ring is installed.
Push connector onto connection (upwards arrow).
If a spacer ring is not installed: Tighten the connector with
a spanner (15 mm), note the gap size or torque in the fig-
ure
If a spacer ring is installed: Tighten the connector flush by
hand.
