The fingerprint authentication
system performs fingerprint
authentication by authenticat-
ing the finger used to touch the
fingerprint sensor on the
engine switch, against finger-
print information registered to
the vehicle. If authentication is
not successful, it prevents the
engine from starting.

Fingerprint authentication system
The vehicle is delivered with no finger-
print information registered. The
engine can be started as the smart
entry & start system even if no infor-
mation is registered.
Successful fingerprint authentication
alone is not enough to switch the
engine switch mode or start the
engine. The electronic key must also
be held.
Fingerprint authentication is used as
an authentication device for My Set-
tings functions. (P.224)

Fingerprint information can be reg-
istered or deleted on the multi-infor-

Section", select "Agree" and

Selecting "Agree" means that you
agree with the "Agreement on Finger-
print System" on P.118. After agreeing
