Specifying the
emulation type
Testing line quality is complete.
In data mode, the HST-3000 replaces the customer's VDSL
modem to help sectionalize troubles, but also allows data to
be analyzed.
NOTE:
Data testing is not available in VTU-C mode.
The data services test involves the following steps:

– specifying the emulation type

– specifying test settings
– connecting to the line
– performing the tests
The first step is to select the emulation type.
To specify the emulation type
1 From the main VDSL Measurements or VDSL Bonded
Measurements menu (see
Bonded Data.
After a few seconds the Data Summary statistics menu
appears.
The Bonded data application is identical to the non-
bonded, except that the results are for the combined
circuit, instead of one line.
2 Press the Configure
The parameter soft keys appear.
3 Select the DATA soft key.
