5.2 Preparatory work on site

5.2.1 Foundation

The foundation is the responsibility of the operator / origi-
nator and is not part of these manual. All necessary infor-
mation is described in the manual "Preparing a foundation".
The manual for "Preparing a foundation" are
available on our website in the download area for
the selected product.

5.2.2 Upstream electrical installation

DANGER
Fire hazard due to overload
If the upstream electrical installation is flawed (e.g. supply
line), there is a fire hazard.
f Design the upstream electrical installation according to
the applicable regulatory standards and the technical
data and configuration of the product.

When configuring the supply line (cross section
and cable type), give due consideration to the fol-
lowing local conditions:
„ Type of installation
„ Line length
f Route the supply line and the data line, if applicable, to
the desired location.

5.3 Transporting

WARNING
Danger of injury due to improper transport
If the device is transported improperly, persons can be
squeezed due to the high weight of the device. There is a
risk of injury when lifting without means of transport, e.g. to
the back.
f Never lift the device without means of transport.
f Use a suitable means of transport according to the local
conditions and taking into account the relevant accident
prevention regulations.
f Never access the area under suspended loads.
f Only place the device on a level surface.

ATTENTION
Damage due to improper transportation
Collisions and shocks may damage the device.
f Leave the device packed on the pallet and transport
the pallet to the place of installation.
f Remove the device from the pallet shortly before instal-
lation.
f Move the device with utmost care.
f Set down the device on a soft base.

5.4 Unpacking

WARNING
Risk of injury due to tipping over of the device
Even if slightly touched, an unsecured device can tip over
and squeeze people. In addition, the device can be dama-
ged.
f Only place the device on a level surface.
f Protect the device from tipping over.
f Mount the device quickly on a foundation.
