5. Installation

The tasks described in this section may only be
carried out by a qualified electrician.
5.1

Choice of location

The device is solely intended for fixed floor mounting. A
suitable location meets the following requirements:
„ Technical data and mains data are the same.

„ Permitted environmental conditions are observed.
„ The minimum distances are respected.
„ The device and the charging station are in sufficient
proximity to each other, depending on the charging
cable used.

Permissible ambient conditions

Danger of injury and fire
If the device is operated in potentially explosive atmos-
pheres (explosive area), explosive substances may ignite
due to sparking of components of the device.
f Do not use the device in potentially-explosive atmos-
pheres (e.g. at gas filling stations).

ATTENTION
Device damage due to unsuitable ambient conditions
Unsuitable ambient conditions can result in device dam-
age.
f Protect the device from a direct water jet.
f Do not install the device in flood-prone areas.
f Ensure adequate ventilation of the device. Do not install
in niches.
f Keep device away from heat sources.
f Avoid large temperature fluctuations.

5.1.2 Minimum distances

ATTENTION
Damage to the device due to insufficient ventilation.
Insufficient ventilation can lead to overheating and thus to
damages to the device.
