5.11 How to Get the Serial No. in Storage Systems

Get the serial number of the system via Remote Management
When starting the Remote Management Unit (RMU), you see the serial number of the storage systems
on the starting page (choose Identity - Library). You will find the serial number in the first line.
If the unit has more than one partition the properties of all logical libraries are displayed.

Get the serial number of the system via Operation Control Panel
The following figure shows the front panel LCD with 4 buttons on the right hand side.
■ Menu to get the serial number
• Select Information from the main menu. Press Enter.
• Select Library from the submenu. Press Enter.
• Select Identity. Press Enter.
The serial number will be displayed in the first line.

Next button [▼] is used to navigate through the menu or license key.
Cancel
Previous button [▲] is used to navigate backward through the menu or
license key.
Enter button is used to execute the action.
