7) Change Barring Password: Sets a
call barring password. You can enable,
disable or inquire all kinds of barring
functions by using a 4-digit barring
password.
5 Anonymous: You can apply for the Calling
Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) service
from the network provider if you do not want
to display your phone number to the called
party. Select Activate to conceal your phone
number, or select Deactivate to display it.
6 Close User Group: The closed user group
(CUG) supplementary service applies to
speech communication services. Closed user
groups are groups of GSM-R mobile
telephone subscribers who can only make
calls and receive calls from members within
the group. Any other calls would be rejected.
1) Index List: Provides configurable
group user IDs.
2) Outside Access: You can choose
Disable or Enable. If you choose
Enable, the handheld allows the group

users to call users outside the group.
Disable this item to suppress this
function.
3) Default Group: You can choose
Disable or Enable. If you choose
Enable and do not set a group user ID,
the network allocates a group user.
4) Deactivate: You can cancel all the
CUG settings.
Note: This service is NOT applicable to short
message services.
7 Network Selection: This menu is used for
selecting the network. You can choose
Automatic Selection or Manual Selection.
The selection state is displayed in the status bar, for
details see description of the icons. The active
network will displayed on the idle screen.
1) Automatic: The handheld
automatically selects and registers with
an available network.
2) Manual: The handheld selects a list
of available networks in the current area.
You can select a desired network, and
press the OK key to confirm and exit, or
press the C key to exit.
