This menu provides function number
management, such as function number
registration, de-registration, interrogation,
forced deregistration, and switching. You can
directly enter a character string on the
standby interface and press the call key to
register, de-register, interrogate, and forcibly
de-register a function number with the
network. The results of registration,
de-registration, interrogation and forcible
de-registration are related to network settings
and the input number
1 Registration: In the GSM-R network, you
can register a function number using one of
the following methods:
1) Quick Register FN: Enter the
function number to be registered on the
function number entry interface, press
the OK key, and confirm the registration.
The handheld sends a registration
request to the network. The result is
displayed in a pop-up box on the screen.
Note: The result of function number
registration depends on network

conditions and the validity of the function
number.
Note: If you enter common function
numbers during common number
maintenance, you can press the function
key I to open a list of common function
numbers and select one function
number from the list.
2) FN Register Guide: This menu
provides registration guide for train
function numbers, engine function
numbers, and coach function numbers.
You can enter the corresponding TFN,
EFN, CFN, MSFN, Dispatch FN
according to prompts, press the OK key,
and then confirm the registration. The
handheld sends a registration request to
the network. The registration result is
displayed through a pop-up box on the
screen.
Note: When entering the number, you
can press the function key I to open a
list and select one number from the list.
