Initiating a point-to-point call

In standby mode, you can enter the phone
number, short number or function number of
the called party, and press the call key or
function key III to initiate a call according to
screen prompts. Refer to the procedure for
making a call in the basic call functions.

Initiating a group call

In standby mode, you can enter a group call
number and press function key I to initiate a
group call. You can also choose Menu >
GSM-R Func > Group Calls and select
Group Call.

Initiating a broadcast call

In standby mode, you can enter a broadcast
call number and press function key II to
initiate a broadcast call. You can also choose
Menu > GSM-R Func> Group Calls and
select Broadcast.
Note: If you enter an incorrect or
non-activated group/broadcast call number on

the standby interface, the screen does not
provide a soft key for initiating a group or
broadcast call, and you will be unable to
initiate a group or broadcast call.

Ending a group call

Only the initiator of a group call can end the
group call. as follows:
Press the hang-up key during the ongoing
group call. The screen informs you that
function key I means 'Terminate', and function
key III means 'Leave'. Press function key I to
end the group call.
Note: The dispatcher can also end a group
call. Others except the group call initiator can
exit a group call but cannot end the group call.
