2.21 Connecting the Illumination / Ultraviolet Sensor (GS-LXUV) (Optional)

For the specifications of illumination / ultraviolet sensor, refer to the Instruction Manual supplied with the
sensor.
The connecting procedure between the GL840 and illumination / ultraviolet sensor is described.
• Turn Off the GL840's power.
• Connect firmly the illumination / ultraviolet sensor's connector to the GL840's GS sensor and terminal /
adapter connection terminal (GS-INPUT).
• Turn On the GL840's power and make sure that the sensor settings are displayed on the AMP Setting
screen.
1. Hook portion ...................Used to mount to a wall.
2. Illumination sensor .........Sensor unit that measures illumination rays.
3. Ultraviolet sensor ...........Sensor unit that measures ultraviolet rays.
4. Connector .......................Used to connect to the connector on the GL840 module.
Please do not use in a state in which only the illumination / ultraviolet sensor is attached on a wall or the
like.
The damage of the connected cable and connector or the drop of the GL840 may be caused.
When measuring ultraviolet rays that have an effect on the eyes or the skin, wear protective glasses, apply
light shielding, etc.
If the sensor unit becomes dirty, this may affect measurements. Wipe it down with a soft cloth.
Make sure to handle the sensor unit in a way that it will not crack. If the sensor unit is cracked it may affect
measurements. Replace the sensor if cracked.
