2.18 Connecting the 3-axis Acceleration / Temperature Sensor (GS-3AT) (Optional)
For the specifications of the 3-axis acceleration / temperature sensor, refer to the Instruction Manual
supplied with the sensor.
The connecting procedure between the GL840 and temperature sensor is described.
• Turn Off the GL840's power.
• Connect firmly the 3-axis acceleration / temperature sensor's connector to the GL840's GS sensor and
terminal / adapter connection terminal (GS-INPUT).
• Turn On the GL840's power and make sure that the sensor settings are displayed on the AMP Setting
screen.
1. Sensor unit .....................The 3-axis acceleration and temperature sensor are built in this unit.
2. Sensor mounting hole ....Used to fix the sensor.
3. Connector .......................Used to connect to the connector on the GL840 module.
• Check the operating direction of the sensor unit, and then securely mount it using four M3 screws to what
is to be measured

•
The sensor unit is dustproof and splash-resistant (IP54), but the GL840 does not conform to IP54. Please
be careful of the operating environment.
•
Please take care not to drop or shock the sensor.
•
If the sensor's mounting is loose, it will give inaccurate readings.
< Extension cable >
The module can be used approx. 1.5 m away from the GL840 by using an extension cable for GS (GS-EXC).
However, you cannot connect and use multiple extension cables.
