    Introduction Introduction Thank you for choosing Barco. Single display or complete system? This manual describes installation and usage of a complete Nio system. A Nio system is a bundling of one or more displays and one or more display controllers.

Electrostatic charges can damage the display controller. Prior to installing your BarcoMed display controller(s) in your PC please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with both the display controller(s) and the PCI slots in your computer.

    Display installation Display installation After unpacking the display Important: In the factory, the height-positioning system in the display foot is blocked with a red clip to prevent damage during transportation. Before installing the display, you must remove this clip. To remove the clip: Position the display with its rear side facing you.

    Display installation To change from landscape to portrait, turn clockwise. Notice: Before installing the Nio driver, put the display panel in portrait orientation. Then install the driver and reboot the PC. From that moment on, the Nio system will adapt the image orientation to the display panel orientation at each reboot.

    Connect the other end of the power cord to a grounded power outlet. We recommend to use an additional surge protector between the power supply unit and the power outlet to protect the equipment against sudden power variations.     Display installation Connect the second display to Vid 2 (Head B). Head A Head B USB connection Connecting the display to the PC via USB is not necessary for controlling the display. It allows you to use the display as USB hub, to which you can connect USB devices, such as a keyboard, mouse or digital camera.

    Select the “Barco” tab from the Properties screen. Using the Barco tab The Barco tab is divided into three sections. The first section provides information about the graphics controller and allows access to the graphics controller advanced configuration pages. The second section provides information about the display.

If not, you must perform the cleaning in a clean and dust-free environment. If there are dust particles on the LCD panel, blow them away by using a dust remover.

    Glossary Glossary Calibration Each display is calibrated in the factory before it is sent to the customer. After this calibration, black and white luminance are set to the ideal level. A stabilization routine, constantly active when the display is on, keeps these levels constant using the built-in sensor.
