To attach the clip and mount the switch to a DIN rail:
1.
Determine how you wish to mount the switch on the DIN rail.
2.
Make sure that the DIN rail is secured every 4 to 6 inches.
3.
If installing the DIN clip to the bottom of the switch, you only need one clip. Refer to
Figure 2-13
on page 2-17 and perform the following:
a.
Locate the four openings in the access panel in the center of the switch, as shown in
Figure
2-13, and remove the screws. Save the screws. These are not the screws that are
used to secure the access panel to the switch.
b. Determine how the clip needs to attach to the bottom of the switch. For example, to mount
the switch on a vertical rail so that the switch faces down, the base rail clip must be
mounted so that it is on the left or right side of the switch. It is recommended that the base
rail clip attach to the top of a horizontally-mounted DIN rail, but can attach to the left or
right side of a vertically-mounted DIN rail.
c.
If the bottom holes in the access panel do not line up with the position of the DIN clip,
remove the screws from the access panel, turn the panel 90 degrees so it lines up with the
DIN clip, and reinstall the panel and screws.
d. Attach the DIN clip using the four screws.
