Connector Panel replacement

This procedure is essentially like replacing the Backplane, but the Backplane will not be removed.

DANGEROUS VOLTAGES, CAPABLE OF CAUSING DEATH, ARE PRESENT IN THIS
DANGER
EQUIPMENT. DO NOT REMOVE THE CAPACITOR PACK COVER.
WARNING Risk of electrical shock, system must be turned off. Avoid all contact with electrical contacts, conductors
WARNING
and components. Always use non-conductive handles designed for the removal and replacement of ESD
sensitive parts. All parts that have the potential for storing energy must be discharged or isolated before
making contact.
IF THE SHEAR WAVE OPTION IS PRESENT, MAKE SURE THE LEDS ON THE CAPACITOR PACK ARE
OFF BEFORE REMOVING THE CAPACITOR PACK.
Prior to removing the Card Rack Boards, the LEDs on the end of each board should be unlit, to indicate
boards are NOT powered.
DO NOT TOUCH ANY BOARDS WITH INTEGRATED CIRCUITS PRIOR TO TAKING THE NECESSARY ESD
PRECAUTIONS:
1. ALWAYS CONNECT YOURSELF. THE ESD WRIST STRAP SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO ONE OF THE
TWO RECEPTICALS INTEGRATED ON THE FRAME, SPECIFICALLY FOR THAT PURPOSE.
2. FOLLOW GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR HANDLING OF ELECTROSTATIC SENSITIVE EQUIPMENT.
Energy Control and Power Lockout for LOGIQ E10:

When servicing parts of the Ultrasound System where there is exposure to voltage greater than 30
Volts:
1. TURN OFF THE SCANNER.
2. UNPLUG THE SYSTEM.

3. MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE SYSTEM POWER PLUG.
LOCKOUT
4. WAIT FOR AT LEAST 20 SECONDS FOR CAPACITORS TO DISCHARGE AND THE ON/OFF

Beware that the Main Power Supply, the Batteries, Power Module, ECB Shear Wave Capacitor Pack
may be energized, even if the power is turned OFF if the cord is still plugged into the AC Outlet.
1. Power down the system.
2. Disconnect the mains power cable from the wall outlet, all Probes and External I/O Cabling.
3. Remove the Left Side Cover, the Battery Cover, Front Cover, Rear Cover, Front End Card Cage Cover, Front Plane
Boards and Main Power Supply.
4. Remove all Options within the Option Box, Printer or Printer Filler Storage and the Printer Tray.
