Scallop hem

Fold the fabric, right sides together. Sew along the

folded edge, as illustrated.
Cut the fabric along the seam leaving an allowance of

3 mm (1/8 inch) for seaming. Notch the allowance.
Turn fabric over and push out the curved seam to the
➌
surface and press it.

Scallop edging

Sew on hem line.

Trim the fabric close to the stitching taking care not to

cut the thread.
