Design
Depending on the specific project conditions, incorporating a desuperheater may
have partly significant energy advantages and increase the efficiency of the heat
pump, since the desuperheater capacity adds to the heating and cooling capacity
without requiring additional drive power.
Before condensing, the refrigerant is heated in the desuperheater by a certain
temperature difference (depending on the level of the heat carrier inlet and outlet
temperatures), and its heat is transferred to the heat carrier.
The documentation of the desuperheater (operating instructions, accept-
ance certificate) is an integral part of the product documentation.
