Fault table
Fault
Discharge pressure and/or discharge tem-
perature too high.
Oil pressure too low.
Excessive oil temperature.
Oil temperature too low.
Maximum motor current.
Refrigerant temperature too low.
106
Cause
Malfunction of compressor suction valve,
pressure valve or overflow safety valve.
Compressor output controller does not
work.
Condenser output too low due to contami-
nation.
Condenser output too low as cooling
medium flow (heat carrier flow) is too low.
Cooling medium temperature (heat carrier
temperature) too high.
Overfilling with refrigerant
There is air or other non-condensible
gases in the refrigerant circuit.
Stop valve in the pressure pipe not fully
open.
Leakage in safety valve or compressor
pressure valve.
The overpressure switch or discharge
pressure sensor is defective or the switch-
off value is set wrongly.
Oil quantity in compressor crankcase too
low.
Oil filter on suction and/or pressure side is
clogged.
Incorrect setting or defective lubricating oil
pressure regulator.
Refrigerant in the oil,
Rapid pressure loss in crankcase at start-
ing.
Room temperature too high.
With existing oil cooler: insufficient cooling
capacity.
Crankcase heating not working properly.
Refrigerant in the oil,
Limit value set to less than 105% of full
charge current.
Compressor drive motor malfunction.
Voltage too low.
Refrigerant temperature setpoint too close
to lowest temperature limit.
Remedy
Repair.
(see installation and maintenance instruc-
tions for compressor).
Repair.
(see installation and maintenance instruc-
tions for compressor).
Clean.
Increase cooling medium flow (heat carrier
flow).
Lower cooling medium temperature (heat
carrier inlet temperature).
Drain refrigerant.
Vent the refrigerant circuit.
Open stop valve completely.
Repair.
Adjust overpressure switch/discharge
pressure sensor correctly or replace.
Add oil and/or check oil return system.
Clean or replace
(see installation and maintenance instruc-
tions for compressor).
Adjust or repair
(see installation and maintenance instruc-
tions for compressor).
Defective compressor crankcase oil
heater.
Refrigerant circuit overfilled – drain refrig-
erant.
Check if refrigerant supply to evaporator is
blocked. check injection valve.
Improve ventilation.
Check the function of the air-cooled oil
cooler
(fan in operation, air passage not obstruc-
ted).
Check the crankcase heater.
Refrigerant circuit overfilled – drain refrig-
erant.
Correct limit value.
Consult the manufacturer.
Check voltage.
Correct setpoint.
