5 Required Items

The following items are required to perform the update:

1 Windows PC running Windows 7 or later
1 Available serial port or appropriate RS-232 to USB converter
Examples: Parallax 28030, Sabrent CB-9P6F or similar
1 Female 9 pin d-sub connector (DB-9) with solder or crimp terminals
2 Female terminals suitable for the installed 15-pin d-sub (DB-15)
4' 22-24 AWG wire
1 uAvionix Updater Application
1 AV-30-E software version 1.1.0 as shown in table 5-1

uAvionix Support website at no charge, from:

Please download the uAvionix Updater and latest software update prior to
visiting the aircraft. An internet connection is required to download the
necessary application and software. An internet connection is not required
to perform the update.

6 Update Notes

All AV-30-E configuration settings will be preserved during this update
procedure.
