Preparing the Vacuum­Compatible N­472 for Connection to the
Controller
To connect the vacuum version of the N-472, there are the following options:
Use of a common vacuum feedthrough for motor cable and sensor cable
Use of separate vacuum feedthroughs for motor cable and sensor cable

Vacuum-compatible N-472: Connections for motor cable and sensor cable when using a
common vacuum feedthrough
1. Vacuum-side connection for the cables of the N-472
2. Vacuum feedthrough
3. Connection for the motor cable and sensor cable from the scope of delivery of the N-472
4. HD Sub-D 15 (m) motor connector, see "Pin Assignment" (p. 53)
5. HD Sub-D 15 (f) sensor connector, see "Pin Assignment" (p. 53)
Assignment of the stranded wires and the cable shield:
a) Red stranded wire of the motor cable: Piezo + (0 to 80 V)
b) Black stranded wire of the motor cable: Piezo – (GND)
c) Exposed cable shield of the motor cable and the sensor cable
d) Yellow stranded wire of the sensor cable: Sensor signal, sine
e) Green stranded wire of the sensor cable: Sensor signal, cosine
f) Red stranded wire of the sensor cable: +5 V supply voltage for sensor
g) Black stranded wire of the sensor cable: GND (sensor ground)
