7 PROFIBUS-DP Option Data and I/O Maps
Parameter Process Data Object (PPO) Type Formats
Set drive parameter F6-32 = "0" to use PPO type formats. The PPO is defined for cyclic data
transfer, which allows the master and the slave to exchange process data (PZD) and
parameters. Refer to the PROFIBUS specification for more information on PPO types 1~5.
SI-P3/V supports five possible PPO type formats:
PPO type 1 (4 words PKW + 2 words PZD)
PPO type 2 (4 words PKW + 6 words PZD)
PPO type 3 (2 words PZD)
PPO type 4 (6 words PZD)
PPO type 5 (4 words PKW + 10 words PZD)
All PPO Types have the registers STW, ZSW,
mapped directly to drive registers. The contents of the words are defined in the Register
Maps, referred to as "Register Ptr".
