Replace steps 2 and 3 with the following procedures:

a. Set:
Test Oscilloscope VOLTS.DIV
Test Oscilloscope SEC/DIV
b. Connect a 10X probe to the test oscilloscope and connect the probe tip
to the 2245A PROBE ADJUST output.
c. C H EC K-For a 0.5 V (± 2% into 1 MO) of PROBE ADJUST square-
wave signal (square-wave period is typically 1 ms, within 25%).
Remember to take into account the oscilloscope and probe speci­
fications when determining the accuracy of the PROBE ADJUST
square-wave signal.
3. A U TO S ETUP Functional Check
a. Disconnect the 10X probe from the test oscilloscope and connect it to
the 2245A CH 1 input, leaving the probe tip attached to the PROBE
ADJUST output.
a. Set:
CH 1 COUPLING
CH 1 VOLTS/DIV
A SEC/DIV
b. Press the AUTO SETUP button.
c. Check that the Probe Adjust waveform is stably displayed on the upper
half of the crt.
d. Disconnect the test setup.
