2-Post Front Mount Rail Assembly

The front mount installation requires one Rail_A assembly and one Rail_B bracket (per side) to
be installed onto the equipment rack. In the front mount installation, the front bracket has two
roles: it both secures the appliance and functions as an equipment rail bracket.
To install the front mount installation brackets and rail assembly onto the equipment rack:
1. Install one Rail_B mounting bracket onto the rear face of the equipment rail.

Note: The rack screws used in this step are not included with the slide rail kit as they are
rack-specific. See your equipment rack installation guide for more information on screw
sizing.
a. Install the Rail_B bracket with the mounting surface facing towards the front using
(2) rack screws. Do not fully tighten! The Rail_B bracket will be tightened after the
appliance is secured in the rack.
b. Repeat for the other side. Verify that both Rail_B mounting brackets are at the same
height in the rack.
