Symptom
The Automower® 305
moves around but the
blade disc does not
rotate
The Automower® 305
does not run along
the guide cable when
it is searching for the
charging station.
6� TROUBLE SHOOTING
Impaired battery capacity.
The wheel motor's gearbox is
slipping.
Defective microswitch.
Cause
The Automower® 305 is looking
for the charging station. The
blade disc does not rotate when
the mower is searching for the
charging station.
The guide cable is broken.
The Automower® 305 cannot
travel to the distance from the
guide wire corresponding to
guide width set.
Perform a battery test to determine the
battery's capacity. See 6.6 Battery test on
page 80.
Check the wheel motors' function
when idling via the Tools menu or use
Autocheck EXP. The battery voltage
should be more than 18 V in this test.
Check that both the wheel motors start
with 50% power. Then increase the power
to 100%. At 100% the speed of each
wheel should be at least 35 cm/second.
Check that the motors' gearboxes are not
slipping by blocking the respective wheel.
In connection with blocking the speed
should be 0 cm/second. Replace the
wheel motor if there is a fault.
Check and replace the STOP button's
microswitch if necessary.
Action
This behaviour is normal; no action
required.
Check LED signals on the charging
station. See 6.4 Trouble shooting of loop
signal on page 76.
Reduce the guide width until the
Automower® 305 manages to follow the
guide wire. Check using the Test out
function.
Increase the distance between the
boundary wire and the guide wire. The
distance between the boundary wire and
the guide wire should be at least 30 cm.
