2.7.3 Test (5-3)
You can use this function to manually test how well
the components in the Automower® 305 work. The
values are shown on the display during testing.
The part-menu consists of three sub-menus that
manage test of motors, user interface, and charging
station.

Motors (5-3-1)

This part menu contains the following test functions:
Wheel motors (5-3-1)
The battery voltage should be at least 18V when
testing the wheel motors.
Place the cursor on Wheel motors and press OK to
start the test. Grip the body in the middle of the lower
edge of the front of the body. Lift so that the drive
wheels are off the ground. The following is shown on
the display during the test:
Power: xx %
Speed L: xx cm/s
Speed R: xx cm/s
Voltage: xx.x V
Use Arrow up and Arrow down to respectively
increase and decrease the wheel force.
Increase the power to 80% and block the
respective drive wheel in at least ten different
positions along the wheel revolution. Check
that the motor starts again when the blocking
is released.
Increase the power to 100% and check that the
speed in each wheel is at least 35 cm/second.
Check that the motors' gearboxes are not
slipping by blocking the respective wheel.
When blocking the speed should be 0 cm/
second. Also listen for abnormal sounds from
the gearbox.

NOTE
! If you have to help the wheel to
go round by hand in order to get the wheel
motor started and if the wheel motor stops as
soon as the wheel is blocked, the fault lies in
the control box.
NOTE!
If a motor does not start and is very
difficult to rotate by hand, as well as in the
wheel motor, the fault may lie in the control
box.
Inspect the cable harness and electrical
connectors on the wheel motors and to the
mower's control box.
Press Arrow back to exit the test.
Blade motor (5-3-1)
The battery voltage should be at least 18V when
testing the blade motor.
Place the cursor on Blade motor and press OK to
start the test.
WARNING
The blade disc rotates during
the test of the blade motor� Keep
your hands and feet at a safe
distance�
Four values are shown on the display:
Current: An indication value of how much
power is needed to sustain 3,200 rpm. When
operating the blade motor with blade disc
and blades fitted but without cutting grass
the normally value is 380 mA +/- 100 mA.
Speed: The speed is normally 3,200 rpm.
Voltage: The battery voltage should be at
least 18V in order to evaluate the function of
the cutting motor.
Press Arrow back to exit the test.
