514 Battery
Automower® 305 is equipped with a special Li-Ion
type battery. The battery is maintenance-free, but has
a limited life span. The battery is expected to last for
2,000-3,000 charging cycles.
The battery is specially adapted to minimise
disturbance to the loop sensors and is equipped
with additional overload protection. Only original
Husqvarna batteries should be used.
515 Magnets for sensors
There are two magnets in the body, one for the
collision sensor and one for the lift sensors. The
magnets have a south and a north pole. It is
important that the magnets are fitted correctly. If they
are not fitted correctly the collision and/or lift sensor
will transmit a constant signal.
The magnets only need to be removed in exceptional
cases and if this is necessary it is very important to
mark them so that they are reassembled correctly.
If there is any uncertainty as to the magnets'
direction, they can be tested on the mower.
1.
With the body dismantled and the mower
standing on its wheels, put the main switch in
position 1.
2.
Go to Quick Check - Info - Sensors.
3.
Move the magnet for the collision sensor
forward and back on the flat surface to the
right of the stop button and check if the
value for Collision changes. If the value does
not change, reverse the magnet and test it
again.

4.
Raise and lower the magnet for the lift
sensor in the groove at the front of the
chassis and check that the value for Lift
changes. If the value does not change when
the magnet is moved in the groove, reverse
the magnet and test it again.
516 Cables
The various electrical components (e.g. circuit board,
sensors and motors) are connected to each other by
various types of cables. The connectors on the circuit
boards are marked with text in English that describes
which cable is to be connected.
There are a number of points on the chassis to
which the cables can be attached with cable ties. We
recommend that these fixing points are used at all
times. It produces a safer installation and reinforces
the intuitive feel for where the cable should be
connected.
