5 Repair Instructions

All repairs to the Husqvarna Automower® 305
should be made indoors on a clean work bench to
protect sensitive components from moisture and dirt.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Oil, grease and dirt on electrical
contactors can cause intermittent faults
on the Automower® 305� These faults
only occur at times, which make them
difficult to find� Never touch sensitive
electronic components with your
fingers, for example, connector pins or
components on a circuit board�
To avoid electrostatic discharge in
electronic components always earth
yourself, for example against a radiator,
before you start to work on electrical
components�
Always disconnect cables from a
component by pulling the connector�
Do not pull the actual cable�
Never use any form of silicone or the
like when repairing an Automower® 305�
If possible test that components
work before completely assembling
Automower® 305�
All screws in the Automower® 305 must be fitted
with the correct tightening torque as set out in the
values in Table 6: Bolt fasteners on page 62.

5�1 Design and Function
5�1�1 Chassis and body
The Automower® 305 is structured mechanically around
the following major components:
Body
Display cover
Chassis, Upper section
Chassis, lower section
Bracket for rear wheel
There are two sealing strips between the upper and
lower sections of the chassis, plus a sealing strip
between the upper section of the chassis and the display
cover. It is important to change these sealing strips each
time the mower is opened.
