Upgrading a Cisco TelePresence System 3000 to a Cisco TelePresence System 3200

Powering On the System

To power on the system, complete the following steps.
Step 1
Reconfigure the codec for the new MAC address in Cisco Unified Communications Manger by
performing the following actions:

Power on the Cisco TelePresence 3000 by turning the power switches to the On position on the two left
PDUs, single right PDU, and auxiliary control unit.
Six check boxes display on the lower right corner of the center display screen.
Step 3
Wait while the system checks each check box and clears the screen.
The system IP address displays on the lower right corner of the center display screen.
Write down the IP address. This is the address of the primary codec.
Step 4
In the computer browser, type in the IP address of the primary codec unit.
Step 5
Enter the required information at the login screen. The Cisco TelePresence Administrator window

appears.
Verify the status of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (seen in the lower left portion of the

window) is Enabled/Up.
Select Hardware Setup to verify the cameras, displays, speakers, and microphones are working

properly.
Step 9
Navigate to the Device Information > Configuration > CUCM settings window, then perform the
following actions:

Open a browser on a computer connected to the network.
Access the Cisco Unified Communications Manager interface.
Change the MAC address for the device to the MAC address for the new primary codec.
In the Certificate Trust List (CTL) area, delete the CTL from your system by clicking Delete CTL.
In the Use Configuration TFTP Server area, click Automatic to set TFTP conditions to their default
value and remove any alternate TFTP servers.
