ence. Network settings are not
prioritizing the voice network.

Configuration recommendations
for an optimized VoWiFi
environment are not followed.

fault.
SIP calls from the handset always
use the same ring tone,
regardless of region. This tone
might not match the local tone
used tone for cellular calls.
The number sequence begins
with the same numbers as an
emergency number. Usually the
handset receives a list of locally

used emergency numbers from
the SIM card, but if no SIM card is
inserted a general list of possible
emergency numbers is used
instead.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
– Connect to another phone
(wired, analogue or external) to
define if it is the other end that
may cause bad quality.
– Make a site survey and check
for areas with under-, or over-
coverage and other interfering
802.11 systems.
– Do a network performance test
to ensure the wired LAN/
backbone has adequate capacity.
– Use a spectrum analyzer and
look for non 802.11 interference.
Follow the recommendations
described in

– Check if a handset is muted.
– Use the Factory mode (in the
opened dialer, type *#66#) to
eliminate problems with speaker
/ microphone.
– Note the IP address of the
handset. Turn the handset off
and ping the IP address. If
something is found, the problem
is an IP address conflict.
Configure the ring tone for SIP
calls in Settings > Ascom
settings > Ascom VoIP> dialing
