3 Installing the option devices

3.1 Installing the solenoid valve set

This section explains how to install and connect the solenoid valve set. The installation steps are shown
below. Turn off the power of the robot controller before attempting these steps.
1) Remove the M4 truss screws attaching the base cover to the back of the robot (four places), then gen-
tly remove the base cover. It may be difficult to remove the cover depending on the posture of the
robot. Use Jog operation to move the robot into a posture that makes removal of the cover easier.
2) Pull out the GR connector and the φ4 air hoses so that they stick out past the seal of the opening.
