PAD EQ

This is a three-band equalizer that is provided for the head and for the rim of each drum trigger.

If you press the [F1] (H&R) button to turn it "ON, " you can simultaneously make settings for the head area and rim area.

PAD TRANSIENT

This allows you to emphasize or de-emphasize the attack portion or release portion of each drum trigger.

* Pad transient settings are made for individual drum triggers. They cannot be made for individual strike locations (such as the head or rim).
* For some settings of the "Pad Effect to Direct" and "Master Direct Sw" parameters in OUTPUT SETUP (p. 17), the pad transient effect is not applied to the sound that is output
from the DIRECT OUT jacks (MASTER OUT jacks).

Explanation
Turns pad equalizer on/off.
Center frequency of the low range
Amount of boost/cut for the low range
Width of the frequency range
A higher Mid Q narrows the affected area.

Amount of boost/cut for the mid range
Center frequency of the high range
Amount of boost/cut for the high range
Explanation
Turns the transient effect on/off.
Adjusts the sensitivity of the transient effect.
If the sensitivity is raised, the transient effect applies more easily even for repeated strikes.
For sounds with a long release, such as cymbals, this might cause unintended response.
In this case, you can decrease the unintended response by lowering the sensitivity.
Allows you to emphasize or de-emphasize the attack portion.
