smart metering application.
The protection is based on multicore micro controller. The firmware architecture offers a
secure and robust design for the software interaction by isolating the sensitive and legally
compliant files from the rest.
As the meter deals with legally relevant information and other operational parts, it is designed
to fulfill the highest security standards for the metering components.
LNR part consist of application and communication components and peripherals. Separated
with a protected interface, the legally non relevant part of the Firmware is used for BLE
communication, Application etc.
LR the legally relevant section of the firmware is separated using protected interface to keep
it isolated from the legally non relevant part. This part of the firmware consists of components
for buttons and display screen. Some other sensitive components are the metrology chip and
security chip.
The E-Mon® Energy Meter operates within a network and the security setup shall be
performed to restrict unauthorized access. Kindly go through installation and security best
