6. Pulse Meter Configuration
The E-Mon® meter has communication terminal at the bottom right of the meter body. This
bridge is used to integrate the pulse output. The meter is designed taking utmost
consideration of communication safety and data security.
A 6-pin terminal is dedicated for the pulse meter connection to enable the meter for
communication. The terminals are designed for push-in connectors where you can make
connections by pushing the yellow buttons for making connection points. The push-in
terminals shall be handled carefully to avoid damage and electrical hazard. It is suggested to
avoid applying high pressure on the push buttons.

6.1. Push-in terminal settings

The push in terminals allow easy plugging-in of communication connectors for pulse meter
configuration. The push in terminals can be opened to make connections by using the yellow
push buttons.
The Push in terminals are available to enable easy installation of the device. The
communication terminals are designed for installation of pulse output using push in buttons.
Push the yellow buttons and plug the terminals to connect the meter for pulse output. Check
for the proper connection, the default configuration is given in section 6.2.

The 6-pin communication terminal has yellow push buttons to help in easy installation. Each
pin or a set of pins are designated for secure communication on measurement of energy
parameters.
