Fault
Mechanical position indicator cannot
be set.
In spite of correct setting of limit
switching, actuator operated into the
valve end position.
Handwheel rotates on the shaft
without transmitting torque.
Actuator operation is too fast or too
slow.
Actuator suddenly stops in end posi-
tions.

SARVEx 16.2 Control unit: electronic (MWG)
Description/cause
Reduction gearing is not suitable for turns/stroke
of the actuator.
The overrun was not considered when setting the
limit switching.
The overrun is generated by the inertia of both the
actuator and the valve and the delay time of the
actuator controls.
Actuator in version with overload protection for
manual operation: Shear pin rupture due to excess-
ive torque at handwheel.
Speed setting is incorrect.
Speed reduction switched off or incorrectly set be-
fore reaching end positions.
Faults interrupt or prevent the electrical actuator operation. In the event of a fault,
the display backlight is red.
Warnings have no influence on the electrical actuator operation. They only serve
for information purposes. The display remains white.
Collective signals include further indications. They can be displayed via the
Details push button. The display remains white.
Description/cause
Instead of the valve position, a status text is dis-
played.
Collective signal 02:
Indicates the number of active warnings.
Collective signal 04:
Indicates the number of active signals.
Collective signal 03:
Indicates the number of active faults.
The actuator cannot be operated.
Collective signal 07:
Indication according to NAMUR recommendation
NE 107
Actuator is operated outside the normal operation
conditions.
Remedy
Set gear stage of the reduction gearing.
The control unit might have to be exchanged.
Determine overrun: Overrun = travel covered
from switching off until complete standstill.
Set limit switching again considering the over-
run. (Turn handwheel back by the amount of
the overrun)
Dismount handwheel. Replace overload protection
and remount handwheel.
Change speed.
Set speed reduction.
Remedy
For a description of the status texts, refer to Manual
(Operation and setting).
