Disabling Anonymous FTP Authentication
You must disable the default "Anonymous Authentication" to prevent automatic connections to the
default Avid virtual hostname ("Blade FTP Share").
To disable anonymous FTP Authentication:
1. Open the FTP Authentication page.
2. Disable Anonymous Authentication.
Creating a Virtual Host Name
The ISIS FTP Share and the File Gateway server FTP Share both use Port 21. Create a virtual host
name using a different name than the actual host name (an alias name is required), as follows.
To create a virtual host name using the FTP Site Bindings:
1. On the File Gateway server, right-click My Computer and select Manage.
The Server Manager window opens.
2. In the left pane of the Service Manager window, click the plus sign (+) to expand the Roles >
Web Server (IIS) > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
