Creating a Block of User Records

First, determine the allocation of user numbers. To create a block of records the
user numbers must be in a sequential order, e.g. 01, 02, 03. If you have a
number missing from the sequence, just create the block of records and then
delete the record for the user and pager number which is not required. The pager
numbers must also be in sequence, e.g. 292, 293, 294. Follow the instructions
below:
1. Press: Ctrl 1
2. Select: Administration [4]
3. Select: User Records [1]
4. Select: Create Block [5]
5. Type in the first user number of the block, e.g. 001 and press Enter.
6. Type in the last user number of the block, e.g. 009 and press Enter.
7. If there is only one pager type on the system, you will automatically be taken
to step 8. If there is more than one pager type on the system you will no be
prompted to select a pager name. Press the
different options, to make your selection press Enter twice.
8. If you have a telephone coupling and Numeric or Alphanumeric pagers with
Fast Alpha you will be asked to select Telephone Message, press Enter for
Yes. If a telephone message is not required press 0 followed by Enter. If
you have a Tone Only pager go to step 9.
9. If speech is not enabled you will automatically be taken to step 10. If speech
is available and telephone speech is required press Enter. If speech from the
telephone is not required press 0 then press Enter then go to step 10.
10. Enter the first pager number of the block, e.g. 001 and press Enter.
11. The records will now be created automatically and confirmation will be given
as to the number of new records created, i.e. 9 users created.
12. Press the Enter key to repeat the process, or press Ctrl 1 to return to the
main menu.
