To create a block of records the user numbers must be in a sequential order, e.g. 01, 02, 03. If you have a number missing from the sequence, just create the block of records and then delete the record for the user and pager number which is not required.

    Access 3000 Compact Supervisor’s Guide Creating a Team This process allows you to create teams of individual user records and/or format groups. Before you undertake this process first determine the team number, channel number(s), users and format groups to be allocated.

To enter a format group type in either a 1 or 2 for one or two digit format group (for examples refer to the Glossary of Terms) then press Enter. If there is only one pager type on the system, the system will then confirm that the Group has been created, with the message: Group added to Team, then go to step 13.

Set calls are non-speech and services will default to the lowest common denominator. For example, if you have a group of Alphanumeric, Numeric and Tone Alert receivers, the paging call will default to the capabilities of the Tone Alert receiver.

  • Page 70 Each message consists of up to 60 characters. The first character of a central fast alpha must be a letter. Channel Access 3000 Compact can transmit paging calls on more than one radio channel or frequency. The system will support up to 5 channels. One channel is held internally. Control Unit This is a desktop control module with an internal microphone and loudspeaker and with either an alphanumeric keyboard (MCU) or a numeric keypad (LCU).
  • Page 71 The Receiver Address is the physical identity of a pager, it is the number sent out by the Access 3000 Compact that causes the pager to beep. It can also be called the Receiver Identity Code (RIC). It consists of 5 or 7 digits. The Receiver Address consists of the System Address, which is programmed using the pager configuration and the Receiver Number, which has to be known by the operator when creating a user.
