5 Self Diagnosis
5.1 Outline
The CPU on the machine's finisher controller PCB is equipped with a mechanism to
check the machine condition as needed; when it detects a fault, the machine communicates
the fact to the host machine in the form of a code and a detail code.
The host machine indicates the code on its control panel. (The detail code may be
checked in the host machine's service mode.)
