1) Check the aligning plate home position sensor (rear). Is the sensor
normal?
NO:
Replace the sensor.
2) Is the wiring between the finisher controller PCB and the rear
alignment motor (rear) normal?
NO:
Correct the wiring.
3) Is there mechanical trapping in the path of the aligning plate?
YES: Correct the mechanical mechanism.
4) Try replacing the alignment motor (rear). Is the problem cor-
rected?
YES: End.
NO:
Replace the finisher controller PCB.

1) Is the wiring between the finisher controller PCB and the staple/
fold motor normal?
NO:
Correct the wiring.
2) Try turning the staple jam releasing dial. Is there mechanical trap-
ping?
YES: Correct the mechanical system.
3) Try replacing the staple/fold motor. Is the problem corrected?
YES: End.
NO:
Replace the finisher controller PCB.
