SYSTEM OF ADDITIONAL TREATMENT OF EXHAUST GASES

The tractor is equipped with an engine that meets the STAGE V and TIER 4f emission limits. Compliance
with the emission limit is achieved, among other things, through a combination of two exhaust gas after-
treatment systems:
a- Diesel particulate filter (DPF), which is used to retain particulates in the exhaust gases. In the particulate
filter, solid particles (soot), which are formed by imperfect combustion of diesel, are collected and
subsequently burned. The DPF unit also includes the oxidation catalyst (DOC).
b - SCR - SCR refers to the diesel emission reduction system. Selective catalytic reduction reduces the
amount of NOx in the exhaust gases. The reducing agent injected into the exhaust system reacts in the SCR
catalyst with the NOx emissions contained in the exhaust gases and reduces them to nitrogen (N2) and
water (H2O). The injected amount of urea is controlled by the control unit itself and in connection with the
engine control unit.
For the system to function properly, its main parts are monitored to achieve the required
emission limits:
- Level and quality of urea that is injected before the SCR catalyst.
- Amount of NOx in the exhaust gases and temperature in the system.
- Detection of any intervention and manipulation used to disable the system from its function.
