Description
Set s t he m axim um t im e for t he decoding process dur ing a
scan. Configurable bet ween 1 sec t o 9 sec.
Set s how m any successful readings should be done befor e
linear barcodes such as Codabar, MSI , and I nt erleaved 2
of 5 can be decoded. Levels 1 t o 4 available.
Set s t he securit y level t o ensure decoding accuracy
considering t he print ed qualit y of barcodes such as Code
128, Code 93, and UPC/ EAN. The higher t he level is, t he
m ore securit y is ensured. Opt ions are:
Level Description
0 Wit h t his default , t he scan engine is aggressive
enough t o decode m ost " in- spec" barcodes.
1 Select t his level if m isdecodes have occurred.
I t fixes m ost m isdecodes.
Select t his level if Level 2 should fail t o

elim inat e m isdecodes.
3 Select t his level if Securit y Level 3 should fail
t o prevent m isdecodes. However, as t his level
act ually im pairs t he decoding abilit y of t he
decoder, a safer solut ion would be t o im prove
t he qualit y of t he bar codes t o read.
