Description
Service Set I dent ifier ( SSI D) for t he WLAN infrast ruct ure t o
w hich t he radio will connect . I f no SSI D is specified, t he radio
will only associat e t o an access point t hat broadcast s it s SSI D.

recom m ended when AC power is in use.
Maxim um I n Max Power Savings ( Max PSP) m ode, t he
access point buffers incom ing m essages for
t he radio, which wakes up periodically and
connect s t o t he access point t o see if any
buffered m essages ar e w ait ing. The r adio
request s buffered m essages and t hen goes
back t o sleep. I t conserves t he m ost power
but offers t he lowest t hroughput . I t is
recom m ended when bat t ery power is in
use.
Fast Power Save Mode ( Fast PSP) swit ches
bet ween t he t wo m odes described above,
depending on net work t raffic. This m ode
swit ches t o CAM when ret rieving a large
num ber of packet s and swit ches back t o
PSP ( =
packet s
recom m ended when power consum pt ion is
a concern but you need great er t hroughput
t han t hat allowed by Max PSP.
