BUTTON ASSIGNMENT
Redefines key funct ions under keypad's norm al and funct ion m ode. See

COM PORT MAPPING
Changes t he funct ion each COM port serves. COM port s 1 t hrough 9 are
re- assignable. Default set t ings are as follows:
COM port Default Settings
COM1 Scan engine ( Laser or 2D)
COM2 Bluet oot h hardware port
COM3~ 8 N/ A
COM9 GPS hardware port

Upon syst em reboot , t he m obile com put er checks whet her t here is a regist ry
ent ry for Bluet oot h Serial Port Profile ( SPP) or Dial- up Profile ( DUN) . These
profiles ( if exist ent ) are assigned t o fixed port s and cannot be re- assigned.
Check if any COM port s are occupied by Bluet oot h SPP before edit ing COM port
funct ion.
Aft er edit ing COM port set t ings, t ap OK com m and on t he soft key bar. A prom pt
will appear warning t hat t he syst em needs t o reboot in order t o apply set t ings.
Tap OK t o reboot , or Ca n ce l t o discard changes.
