As a general rule, the door operator should be installed below the drive shaft and as close to the door as possible.
The ideal distance between the operator drive shaft and the door shaft is approximately

Mount the operator to the wall, hood or bench with
shields if installation re uires it. Make sure that operator is secured but do not tighten bolts.

Install drive chain over sprockets, cut to a suitable length and connect with connecting link.

Carefully re-align sprockets, if necessary and secure keyway and set screws.
