Shearbolt Protection
The Snow Blower is protected from large objects with two
shearbolts. The shearbolts must be kept tight to keep
from damaging the bolts & enlarging their holes.
Drive Shaft Shearbolt
Refer to Figure 6-2:
There are two holes located on the Snow Blower above
the drive chain for storing extra drive shaft shearbolts with
locknuts. A good practice would be to keep shearbolts in
these two holes at all times. Purchase extra shearbolts
from your nearest Land Pride dealer.
1. Loosen hand knobs (#6) and remove rear drive shaft
guard (#3).
2. Realign holes in drive shaft tabs (#1 & #2) and insert
new shearbolt (#4) through the holes.
3. Secure shearbolt with hex nylock nut (#5). Tighten
nylock nut.
4. Replace guard (#3) and secure with knobs (#6).

802-005C 1/4"-20 x 1" GR5 hex head cap screw
(Torque nut to 8 ft. lbs.)
803-255C 1/4"-20 Nylock hex nut
Driveline Shearbolt
Refer to Figure 6-3:
There are two holes on the Snow Blower near the
gearbox for storing extra driveline shearbolts with
locknuts. A good practice would be to keep shearbolts in
these two holes at all times. Purchase extra shearbolts
from your nearest Land Pride dealer.
Refer to Figure 6-4:
1. Realign holes in driveline tabs (#1 & #2) and insert
new shearbolt (#3) through these holes.
2. Secure shearbolt with locknut (#4). Tighten locknut.

165.000.583 BOLT & NUT M10 x 60 C1.6.6
(Torque nut to 52 ft. lbs.)
Chute Bearings
Refer to Figure 6-3:
Chute bearings (#1) rotates with the chute. Should a
bearing stop rotating, remove ice & snow build-up around
bearing. Have your nearest Land Pride Service Center
replace the bearing if it continues to not rotate.
