Manual Chute Rotation Assembly

Manual Chute Rotation
Refer to Figure 2-1:
1.
Attach manual chute rotation mount (#5) to blower
housing flange as shown with three 3/8"-16 x 1" GR5
bolts (#8), flat washers (#13), lock washers (#14),
and hex nuts (#11). Draw nuts up snug, do not tighten
at this time.
2. Attach rotation brace (#6) to mount (#5) with
5/16"-18 x 1" GR5 bolt (#9), 2 - flat washers (#15),
lock washer (#12), and hex nut (#10). Draw hex nut
up snug, do not tighten at this time.
3. Attach rotation brace (#6) to blower housing gusset
hole "B" or "C" with 5/16"-18 x 3/4" bolt (#7), lock
washer (#12), and hex nut (#10) as follows:
SB15 & SB25 Series: Attach to hole "B".
SB10 Series: Attach to hole "C".
Draw nut up snug, do not tighten at this time.
4. Continue with "Sprocket Adjustment" on this page.

Sprocket Adjustment
Refer to Figure 2-2:
NOTE: Face of teeth in sprocket (#2) must mesh
with face of teeth in sprocket (#1) without any of the
teeth in either sprocket binding or rubbing against

other surfaces on the two sprockets.
1.
Adjust chute rotation mount (#3) in mainframe slots
on left side of mount until sprocket (#2) is aligned with
gear teeth (#1). Make sure sprocket turns freely.
Draw bolts (#10) up snug. Do not tighten at this time.
2. Loosen bolts (#9A) and raise/lower inner and outer
shaft adjusters (#4 & #5) until gear teeth in
sprocket (#2) align with gear teeth in sprocket (#1).
Draw bolts (#9A) up snug. Do not tighten at this time.
3. Loosen set screws (#7) in set collars (#6) and move
sprocket (#1) in or out to align gear teeth in
sprocket (#2) with gear teeth in sprocket (#1).
4. Adjust set collars (#6) to be snug against both sides
of shaft adjuster (#4) and draw set screws up snug.
Do not tighten at this time.
5. Continue to adjust shaft adjusters (#4 & #5), in/out
movement of sprocket (#2), and chute rotational
mount (#3) until gear teeth of sprockets (#1 & #2)
align properly.
6. Tighten set screws (#7) & bolts (#8, #9A, #9B, & #10)
to the correct torque.
7.
Rotate crank handle both directions to make sure
sprockets (#1 & #2) still rotate freely and effectively.
