Section 4: Adjustments
Chute Rotation
!
WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
Never operate Snow Blower if its discharge chute can be
rotated to throw snow toward the operator. If the chute can
be rotated toward the operator, shutdown the Snow Blower
and adjust or repair chute rotation stop before putting the
Snow Blower back into service.
Keep people and animals away while operating the Snow
Blower. Never throw snow toward people, animals, or
operator. The Snow Blower is capable of picking up solid
objects and discharging them at high speeds.
IMPORTANT: Never operate Snow Blower with
chute throwing snow toward property such as
vehicles, buildings, trailers etc. that can be
scratched, dented or broken by thrown projectiles.
IMPORTANT: Do not operate a Snow Blower that
throws snow towards the tractor and/or operator.
Investigate the cause and make necessary repairs
before putting unit back into service. Especially
investigate chute rotation stop (#9) and stop
bolts (#8) shown in Figure 1-2 on page 9.
Manual Rotation
1.
Disengage power take-off, place gear selector in
park or in neutral with park brake set, shut engine off,
remove switch key, and wait for power take-off to stop
before dismounting tractor.
2. Turn rotation handle (#1) in Figure 3-1 on page 16 to
rotate chute in the direction snow is to be thrown.
3. Resume snow blowing once new chute angle is set.
Electric Motor Rotation
Refer to Figure 3-7 on page 20:
1.
Place gear selector in park or in neutral with park
brake set before adjusting discharge chute.
2. Push and hold control box red toggle switch to rotate
chute to the left, and pull and hold switch to rotate
chute to the right. Release toggle switch when
desired angle is reached.
3. Resume snow blowing once new chute angle is set.
Hydraulic Motor Rotation
IMPORTANT: Adjustment screws on hydraulic motor
are preset at the factory. Do not change factory
settings. Changing factory settings can cause
structural damage to the Snow Blower.
1.
Place gear selector in park or in neutral with park
brake set before adjusting discharge chute.
2. Push on hydraulic control lever to rotate chute to the
left and pull to rotate chute to the right.
3. Resume snow blowing once new chute angle is set.

Deflector
The deflector can be tilted up or down to direct blown
snow up close or far away. This is accomplished in one of
three ways depending upon which option was
purchased.
Manual Adjusting
Refer to Figure 4-4:
1.
Disengage power take-off, place gear selector in
park or in neutral with park brake set, shut engine off,
remove switch key, and wait for power take-off to stop
before dismounting tractor.
2. Pull hair pin cotter (#4) and adjustment pin (#3).
3. Readjust angle of deflector (#2) to suit by realigning
one of the 4 holes (#5) with hole in deflector (#2).
4. Insert adjustment pin (#3) and secure with hairpin
cotter (#4).
5. Resume snow blowing once new angle is set.
Electric Actuator Adjusting
Refer to Figure 3-7 on page 20:
1.
Place gear selector in park or in neutral with park
brake set before adjusting deflector.
2. Push and hold control box white toggle switch to
angle deflector up. Pull and hold toggle switch to
angle deflector down. Release toggle switch when
desired angle is reached.
3. Resume snow blowing once new deflector angle is
set.
Hydraulic Cylinder Adjusting
1.
Place gear selector in park or in neutral with park
brake set before adjusting deflector angle.
2. Push on hydraulic control lever to angle deflector up
and pull on hydraulic control lever to angle deflector
down.
3. Resume snow blowing once new angle is set.
