way back into the printer until it latches.
Using the Multi-purpose Bypass Feeder (MBF)
The Multi-purpose Bypass Feeder can be configured to operate like another input tray or as a Manual
Feed tray. To configure the MBF for Manual Feed you must set the "Paper Menu, Manual Feed" setting
to ON. The factory default setting is OFF, meaning the MBF is configured like another input tray.
Unlike the other input trays, the MBF cannot automatically detect the paper size being used. Therefore,
whenever using the MBF, you must set the Media Size and Media Type settings in the Paper Menu to
match the media you are using. The factory default settings are:
When using the MBF as another input tray, the MBF will automatically select single sheets as needed.
When using the MBF in Manual Feed mode, the user must manually insert one sheet at a time, or if mul-
tiple sheets are inserted, press the Start/Stop pushbutton to allow each sheet to be fed.

Connecting the Parallel Cable

1.
Attach an optional parallel cable to the parallel port on the rear of your printer.
2.
Attach the other end of the parallel cable to the parallel port on your PC or workstation.
