Prerequisites
• Install Avaya approved USB 2.0 memory devices only.

Installing the Enterprise enhanced CPU daughter card
(SuperMezz)
Install the Enterprise enhanced CPU daughter card (SuperMezz) to off-load processing from
the CPU to the daughter card, and to enable use of all Ethernet Routing Switch 8800/8600
features.
Installing a SuperMezz takes approximately 10 minutes.
Important:
If you have a system with two Ethernet Routing Switch 8692SF/CPU modules, you must
install the daughter card on each of the modules.
After installing the SuperMezz, you may want to upgrade your software. For more information,
refer to Upgrading from Release 5.x to Release 7.x in the Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch
8800/8600 Upgrades — Software Release 7.2.10, (NN46205–400).
